On 28 October 2009, accompanied by Mathieu Kassovitz, Bigard participated on a TV show (France 2) in which he said there was no proof of Ben Laden’s culpability in the attacks, neither any images (and proof) about an airplane crashing on the Pentagon.
He grew up in Troyes, France, and later married Claudia Bigard, whom he divorced after nearly twenty years of marriage. In 2009, he had a child with fellow comedian Lola Marois; he and Marois married in 2011.
