Llambi was born on the 25th of February 1974, in Barcelona. He was struck by an automobile when he was eight years old. After the accident, he became a paraplegic. He began participating in disabled sports to help in his rehabilitation. His first activity he was involved in was swimming, and was part of Barcelona’s swimming club.

In 2011 , in Nazareth, Poland, Llambi took part in Nazareth in Poland. IWBF European Championships, where his team placed third. He was a wheelchair basketball player during the 2012 Summer Paralympics in London. This marked the first time that the Spanish national team qualified to the Paralympics in the last 16 years. The team, led by Oscar Trigo, finished fifth. He was among seven players on the 142-strong Spanish team that participated in the 1992 Games. For the national team He won a bronze medal during the 2013 European Championships after defeating Sweden. Then, in November of 2013, he was presented with an award of EUR4,000 from the Madrid Olympic Foundation to support his efforts to be able to compete in his place in the 2016 Summer Paralympics.

In August 2012, Llambi attended a conference organised by Groupama Seguro in Madrid. The group was one of the main sponsors for the Spanish Paralympic Committee in the lead up to the 2012 Summer Paralympics. Alongside several other Paralympians, he presented on athlete preparations for the Games.

As of 2013, Llambi has played club basketball for Fundosa CD ONCE since around 1997, when he was 23 years old.

Llambi was a representative of Spain as a member of the Spain men’s wheelchair basketball national team , for the first time in his career when Llambi played in the 1998 IWBF World Championships in Sydney, Australia.
