Jason Queally is one of the most popular and richest Sport Cyclist who was born on May 11, 1970 in Great Haywood, England, United Kingdom. Jason Paul Queally (born 11 May 1970) is an English track cyclist from England. He won the Gold medal during the 2000 Olympics in Sydney.
While Olympic winner, Queally was not selected for the 1km time trial in the 2004 Summer Olympics He was the only participant at the group sprint in which the Great Britain team was eliminated in the first round by Germany and eventually won despite having the second-fastest time of the competition.
In 2009, Queally was inducted into the British Cycling Hall of Fame.
In the month of October 2001, Queally participated at The World Human Powered Speed Challenge in Battle Mountain, Nevada on the Blueyonder recumbent bike, constructed mostly from carbon fibre from Reynard Motorsport to a design by Chris Field. Queally kept 64.34 miles per hour (103.55 km/h) throughout the 200m-long timed course, which is a European record. Winner, Sam Whittingham, achieved 80.55 mph (129.63 km/h).

Born in Great Heywood, Staffordshire, Queally was raised at Caton, a small village close to Lancaster. He was a student at Caton County Primary School and Lancaster Royal Grammar School, where he was a member of the swimming team in the mid-1980s. He later competing for Lancaster as well as British Universities in water polo as a student at Lancaster University which is where he graduated with an BSc in Biology Science. He began cycling racing at the age of 25.
He was killed in 1996. was close to lost his life in a crash at the Meadowbank cycle track Edinburgh when an 18-inch piece of the track’s wooden surface slipped into his chest through his armpit.
Queally retired from able-bodied cycling after failing to qualify for the 2008 Summer Olympics. He subsequently worked with Paralympic cyclist Anthony Kappes with the aim of competing together on a tandem at the 2012 Summer Paralympics. However he returned to able-bodied competition when he received a call up to the British squad for the 2010 UCI Track Cycling World Championships. After not being selected for the 2012 Summer Olympics he rejoined the British paralympic cycling squad as a pilot for the tandem events in November 2012.
