He was previously a part of Major League Baseball (MLB) with the Tampa Bay Rays, Minnesota Twins, New York Mets, Philadelphia Phillies, Baltimore Orioles, Colorado Rockies, and Oakland Athletics .
On the 20th of November 2007 the Rays bought Pridie’s contract safeguarding his name from being subject to the Rule 5 draft. A few days later the Rays made a trade Pridie together as Delmon Young, and Brendan Harris to the Minnesota Twins in exchange for Matt Garza, Jason Bartlett along with Eduardo Morlan.
Pridie batted .265 with nine home runs and 53 RBIs for the Red Wings in 2009. His only major league appearance in 2009 was as a pinch runner against the Houston Astros on June 20.
On February 9, 2010, Pridie was claimed off waivers by the New York Mets. The Mets purchased his contract on April 22, 2011, when starting center fielder Angel Pagan was placed on the 15-day Disabled List. On April 23, Pridie collected his first major league hit off Diamondbacks pitcher Barry Enright. The very next day, he hit a 3-run home run, the first of his career, off Armando Gallaraga. He hit .241 for the Mets with 4 home runs in 101 games. After the season, he was out-righted to Triple-A Buffalo, but elected free agency.
On the 8th of December, 2005 on the 8th of December, 2005, on December 8, 2005, the Minnesota Twins selected Pridie in the Rule 5 Draft. Insufficient roster space was available for Pridie and his teammates, the Twins transferred him back to the Rays on March 29th of 2006. The 2006 season was a good one. Pridie was in 132 games and hit .230 with five home runs while playing for the Biscuits. In 2007, he also began his season in Double-A. He played in 71 games and hitting .290 with four home runs. After Dustan Mohr’s transfer to the Devil Rays on June 27, Pridie was sent to the Triple-A Durham Bulls to take his place on the roster. The season ended with the Bulls and posted an .318 hitting average, with the score of 10 homers. In Durham, Pridie was the central figure in an informal Bulls fan club called “Pridie’s Pack.”

Pridie was selected from Prescott High School, where the record-setting 13 triples. He was drafted by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in the second round (43rd overall) of the 2002 Major League Baseball Draft. When he signed with the Devil Rays, Pridie was selected to play for the Rookie League Princeton Devil Rays. In his 67 games, he hit .368 with seven home runs. Pridie got promoted August 28 of 2002 into his current team, the Hudson Valley Renegades, the Devil Rays’ Single-A team. He played in the league for the rest of the season and hit .344 with one home run over eight games. Baseball America named Pridie to the Rookie League All-Star team and was also rated as the top hitter and the top tool player within the Devil Rays’ organization.
In 2003 and 2004 Pridie was a full-time player for the two seasons for single-A Charleston RiverDogs. In the course of 128 games in each season, Pridie hit .260 with seven home runs in 2003 and .276 with 17 home runs in 2004. Pridie was also recognized in 2004 by Baseball America as the best defensive outfielder within the Rays organization. He started his year with the single-A Visalia Oaks. He played in just one game prior to being placed on an inactive list for 3 1/2 weeks from April 9 until July 26. When he was activated off the list of disabled players, he received a promotion to Double-A Montgomery Biscuits. He ended the season with the Biscuits playing 28 games and hit .213 with three home runs.
Pridie began the 2008 season with the Twins’ Triple-A Rochester Red Wings. On July 12, he hit a go-ahead grand slam in the top of the ninth, and another go- ahead solo home run in the top of the 13th inning to give the Red Wings a 9–8 win at Durham.
