Her biggest individual success so far was her victory in the Grand Prix of Aachen at the 2011 CHIO with Cellagon Lambrasco. Only a day earlier she won the “Best of Champions” class, participation in which is limited to the five highest ranked women and men in the world rankings plus the Olympic, World and European champions, with Holiday by Solitour.
At the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, Meyer failed to reach the final round of the individual competition, finishing in 41st place overall. The German team, together with Meyer, also failed to reach the second round of the team competition, finishing in a shared 10th place.
Meyer was originally nominated as a substitute for the 2010 FEI World Equestrian Games. Due to an injury to another horse, Meyer could compete in both the individual and team events. Meyer was able to contribute to the German team’s success in winning the gold medal with four penalty points and a flawless second.

Janne Friederike Meyer is a rider and equestrian since she was a child. She had her first pony, Mucke, when she was six years old. She competed in the junior- and pony-category regional championships from 1993 to 1999, winning many medals and titles. Her father bred her first horse, Callistro, a Holsteiner gelding. Meyer trained the horse herself for competition. Meyer owns her own riding school at Schenefeld, near Hamburg. Tjark Nagel is Meyer’s coach. Tjark Nagel and Axel Wockener have also coached her.
Meyer was the winner of the National Championships in Women’s Category in 2006 and 2011. In 2011, she was also 3rd in her category for men. She was second overall in the 2008 Riders Tour.
Later in 2011 Meyer (with Cellagon Lambrasco) was part of the German team that won the Gold medal at the FEI European Jumping Championships in Madrid.
