Janet Arnott is one of the most popular and richest Curler who was born on April 17, 1956 in Winnipeg, Canada. Janet Elizabeth Arnott (nee Laliberte) was a Canadian curler and Olympic champion coach.

Arnott took over Dana Allerton’s place on the Jennifer Jones team during the 2006-07 season, causing a lot of outrage from the curling community. Dawn Askin was appointed Jones’ leader after she had played with them at the 2007 Scotties Tournament of Hearts. Earle Morris replaced Arnott in 2010 as the team’s coach. Arnott was still a part of the team for the 2010-11 season and served as their alternate at Scotties Tournament of Hearts 2011. Arnott was back in charge of the team after Morris quit Team Jones to coach Rachel Homan’s team in 2011. When they won the gold medal in the 2014 Winter Olympics, she was their coach. Wendy Morgan was appointed the team’s coach for 2014.

After Laliberte’s retirement from curling in 2000 and her third member, Cathy Overton–Clapham became the skip. Laliberte was back in competitive curling in

  1. Overton-Clapham formed her own team. Arnott was her sister’s second partner for the next few season.

Arnott was the daughter of Jean and Gus Laliberte. She was married to Doug Arnott. She lived all of her life in the St. Vital neighbourhood of Winnipeg. She graduated from Dakota Collegiate and completed certificates in Business Accountancy and Business Administration from Red River Community College. She worked at Shoppers Drug Mart until retiring in 2016. She died of cancer on June 24, 2019.
