Jane Zhang is one of the most popular and richest Singer-Songwriter who was born on October 11, 1984 in Chengdu, China. Zhang Liangying, also known as Jane Zhang, was born October 11, 1984 in Chengdu (Sichuan), China. When she was in school, she adopted the English name Jane. She stated in an interview that she “always loved Jane Eyre” in an EP and also paid tribute to the novel in an interview. Zhang Huaqing was her father and was a long-distance truck driver who often had to travel far from home. Zhang Guiying was a department store assistant. Zhang stated in an interview that her parents divorced young, but she didn’t realize it until many years later. Zhang was 15 when her father died, and her mother was laid off. Zhang then sang in a bar to support her family. She also received 100 yuan per months from her father’s family. In 2007, she told an interviewer that she had “lived in bars for six years”.

Zhang was awarded the “Chinese College Student Singer Competition”, which Warner Music organized in July 2004. She was third in Super Girl’s Chinese singing contest. Even though she didn’t win, her voice won her a lot of fans.
