He was also the Hockey SA Premier League Best and Fairest winner in 2014.
Claxton was a state representative for South Australia in hockey under 12 (SAPSASA), 13 and 15, as well as Under 16 (Secondary schools), 18 and 21. Claxton was the Player of the Tournament in the U21 Women’s National Hockey Championships, where South Australia placed 2nd.
