He is most well-known for his role as the official chef at Telemundo and co-presenter on its morning show, Un Nuevo Dia. Together with Raul Gonzalez, a television personality, Chef James opened his first restaurant in 2014, Sabores – By Chef James. It was later named one of Miami’s best restaurants.
