He is known as the lead vocalist of the band Push Baby, charting at number 1 on the UK Singles Chart with “Me and My Broken Heart”. In 2010, he appeared in the ITV soap opera Emmerdale, portraying the role of Isaac Nuttall.

He also appeared as Matt in the BBC musical film Rules of Love in 2010, and appeared briefly in drama Scott & Bailey in 2012.

He got engaged to Little Mix singer Jesy Nelson in 2015, but they called the marriage off a year later. His parents Shane and Coleen divorced when he was 9 years old. He has an older brother Shane and a plethora of half-brothers and half-sisters.
