He is best known for being the winner of Top Chef’s third season, a reality cooking series on Bravo. He was also the Executive Chef of Catch, The General and Catch Miami.
Huynh opened The General, Catch, and also Catch Miami together with the EMM Group. Catch focuses primarily on seafood, while The General features modern Asian cuisine. He cut all ties with EMM in February 2015, citing creative differences. Huynh was the chef de cuisine at Morimoto Asia, Disney Springs.
Huynh was also a guest judge on episode 12 of season 4 and the fast-paced challenge of episode 8 of season 5 of Top Chef. Huynh was Angelo Sosa’s sous- chef and appeared on the finale of Season Seven of Top Chef in September 2010.
