Huang Biren is one of the most popular and richest Actor who was born on March 7, 1969 in Singapore. Biren was awarded the My Favourite Actress Award at the Star Awards 25th anniversary show. She defeated hot favorites Zoe Tay, Fann Wong, and other stars. Biren was the first female artist to receive this prestigious award. It was presented in honor of 25 years of drama productions.
After having been in a relationship for two years, Huang got married to Adrian Quek in 1996. Justin was born to the couple on 10/03/2000. Huang announced on 30 July 2007 that she was now two months pregnant by her second child. It was a girl who was due in March 2008. Huang gave birth to her second baby one day before her birthday at Thomson Medical Centre, 6 March 2008. Huang described Janessa’s birth as very smooth.

Since 2005, Biren has filmed an average of only one serial per year, compared to three drama series per year between 2002 and 2004. Rumours circulated that she feigned illness so that she need not take up roles that did not cast her in good light. Biren came out strongly against these rumours and attributed the drop in drama serials filmed to an asthma attack she suffered after filming The Undisclosed, granting her medical leave for a period of a year. Another reason cited by the local media was the media merger which took place in December 2004, which led to less dramas produced as competition from SPH MediaWorks ceased to exist.
Huang, who has been in the industry for 10 year’s, won her first Top 10 most popular female artist award at Star Awards 1997. Huang was the star of the Chinese drama series Stand By Me in 1998. This drama surpassed Return of the Condor Heroes by a large margin despite little promotion prior to its telecast. She was the patient and caring spouse of Xie Shaoguang, a paraplegic. This role earned her the Best Actress Award at 1998 Star Awards. She was also the first Singaporean actress nominated for Best Actress in 1998 Asian Television Awards for Stand by Me. She was a hit with many viewers for her performance in the drama. Since then, she is a household name among many Singaporeans.

After completing the Professional Drama Performers’ Training Course, Huang joined MediaCorp (now Singapore Broadcasting Corporation) in 1988. Although she was supposed to attend Hawaii Pacific University in the United States, Huang decided to pursue acting after SBC offered her a contract. This disappointment was not lost on her parents.
Other award-winning lead roles other than the one in Stand By Me include Kelian, where she played an old-fashioned and cowardly woman who was always being abused by her mother in Beautiful Connection (2002), and Lucky, where she played a gambling addict in My Lucky Charm (2005). In the interview, she talked about life in her younger days, career, family and chances of making a comeback.
