Jaa9 startet sin karrière som rapper i gruppa «Ridderne av det norske hus» fra området Suttestad på Lillehammer. Han er medlem av rapkollektivet Dirty Oppland, men er mest kjent for sitt samarbeid med OnklP, som også er medlem av Dirty Oppland, i gruppa Jaa9 & OnklP.
