Hsu Yao-chang (Chinese: Xu Yao Chang ; pinyin: Xu Yaochang ; born 30 June 1955) is a Taiwanese politician. From 2002 to 2014, he represented Miaoli County at the Legislative Yuan. In 2014, he was elected Magistrate for Miaoli County.
In December 2017, Hsu was supported by the Kuomintang to be a second term magistrate of Miaoli County.
Hsu was joined by seven other magistrates and mayors of Taiwan who visited Beijing in September 2016. They were Chiu Cheng-ying (Magistrate for Hsinchu County), Liu Chengy-ying (Magistrate for Lienchiang County), Yeh Huiching (Deputy Mayor, New Taipei City), Chen Chinhu (Deputy Magistratrate of Taitung County), Lin Mingchen (Magistrate at Nantou County), Fu Ku-chi (Magistrate to Hualien County) as well as Wu Cherng-dean (Deputy of Kinmen County), Wu Cherng-dean (Deputy of Kinmen County), and Wu Cherng-dean Their purpose was to restart cross-strait relations following President TsaiIng-wen’s election on May 20, 2016. They reiterated their support for One-China’s policy as per the 1992 consensus. They met with Zhang Zhijun, Taiwan Affairs Office Head, and Yu Zhengsheng, Chairperson of Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference.
