Egyptian striker who, with his brother, led several Egyptian teams to success in the 1980s, ’90s and early 2000s. Starred for Al-Ahly, scoring over 100 goals in 12 years with the club.

He and Magdi Yacoub both became tremendous Egyptian-born soccer players, though Yacoub mostly played in the European leagues.
