Hetty Sarlene is one of the most popular and richest Singer who was born on April 21, 1984 in Singapore, Malaysia. Sarlene was the daughter of Abdul Hamid, a technician and Sariah Omar (a manager), on 21 April 1984. Named after Hetty Koes Endang, an Indonesian singer, she was born. She was three years old when she began singing Endang’s songs. When Endang appeared on television, she would join her singing along. She is the sister of a younger brother. At five years old, she began performing at family events. She then entered singing competitions at twelve or thirteen. She began singing karaoke every day.

Sarlene made her feature movie debut in 2003 in Iskandar, playing the role of the arranged wife. She had taken the role in a reluctant manner in 2002, after being invited to audition by the production company. She starred as Zetty in a serial adaptation, which ran for five seasons, of 1995’s Sembilu. She starred in the 2005 feature-length remake of the film Sembilu 2005. The film was a failure. 2008 saw Sarlene in the Malay action movie Evolusi KL Drift Evolution.

As part of the compilation album Sutera 2 (“Silk 2”), another single, “Sangsi Asmara”, (“Doubting love”) was released in October 2001. Tiada Lain was Sarlene’s second album. It was released on October 15, 2001. The album included Sarlene’s song “Kau Tetap Ku Cinta”, (“You’re Still My Love”) and a duet with Rem, a Malaysian singer entitled “Hampa” (“Alone”) The results were reportedly well received by Sarlene, who followed it up with several months’ promotion. The album was not a success. Hetty was awarded Best Artiste at Anugerah planet Muzik 2002. She had already moved to Kuala Lumpur in 2002 with her mother, who was her manager.
