Henry (Acosta) Cruz (born February 27, 2002 in Christiansted, United States Virgin Islands) was a former professional baseball outfielder and is currently the director of Los Angeles Dodgers Dominican Baseball Academy.
After 1981 playing for the Evansville Triplets, Cruz decided to retire. He played in the Mexican League for 4 more years. 1982 was for the Reynosa Broncos, 1983 for Leon Guanahuato, and 1984 to 1985 for the Saltillo Seraperos. After the 1985 season, he ended his playing career.
In September 1977, Cruz was signed off waivers for the Chicago White Sox. In 77, he played 16 games and in 1978, he played 53 more. Through 1980, he remained in the Sox minor-league system until he was waived by the Detroit Tigers.

The Los Angeles Dodgers signed Cruz as an undrafted, free agent on January 1, 1971. On April 18, 1975, Cruz made his major league debut as a pinch-hitter against the San Francisco Giants. His first hit was recorded against the Giants on April 20.
Cruz was a part of the 1976 and 1975 seasons for the Dodgers. The Chicago White Sox claimed Cruz off waivers at the end of 1977, while he was batting.353 for AAA Albuquerque Dukes.
Cruz spent 10 seasons as a scout for the Cleveland Indians following his playing days. In 2007, the Dodgers hired him to be the hitting instructor for Class-A Ogden Raptors. He was moved to the Inland Empire 66ers in 2008.
