Streeck and his colleagues reported in April 2020 using the COVID-19 Case Cluster-Study, that they had “carried an intensive search of a home of a coronavirus-infected family but found no trace of it.”

The BRAHMS study was extended to include other European countries, including France, Spain, Poland, Hungary, Italy, Spain and Spain in January 2019. This is now known as the STIPnet study. Parallel to this, a European HIV & STI prevention Network will be established. He was nominated for the role of co- chair at the International AIDS Conference IAS 2021 in Berlin.
