Helge Solum Larsen is one of the most popular and richest Politician who was born on January 14, 1969 in Stavanger, Rogaland, Norway. Helge Solum Hansen, 14 January 1969-18 December 2015 was a Norwegian politician and businessman. From 2010 to 2012, he was the deputy leader of this party.

Solum Larsen, a member of the Rogaland Liberal Party, resigned in February 2012 after a 17 year-old girl accused him. He claimed that he had raped her at the Rogaland Liberal Party annual congress in Suldal. The case was dropped by the Rogaland public prosecution in October. Appeal was made, but the Norwegian Prosecuting Authority declined to prosecute the case in January 2013. The charges were effectively dismissed due to a lack of evidence. He left the Liberal Party but returned to politics in January 2014. He continued his independent service on the Stavanger city council until October 2015.

Solum Larsen was active in local politics and advocated for integration and employment opportunities for immigrants, as well as for drug addiction treatment policies. He was a strong advocate for Stavanger’s wooden buildings. He was responsible for stopping the excavation of Nytorget and the demolition of many of the buildings to make way for an underground carpark. He was an advocate of railways and was responsible for the 2005 decision by the national government to double-track the railway through the Stavanger/Sandnes metropolitan region. He also advocated for light rail as central to the regional transport plan. He was involved in discussions about the Ryfast tunnel connection, and the new E39. His proposal to lengthen an E39 tunnel to lessen the impact on Tasta was rejected.
