Roden returned to football with the encouragement of her brother, David Rodan, and was signed by Collingwood as a rookie-listed player. She made her debut in round one, 2017, in the inaugural AFLW match at IKON Park against Carlton, which she ended on the interchange bench due to an injury to her left leg.

Roden was delisted by Collingwood ahead of the 2018 season.

Roden joined Texas Christian University’s 2006 team, the TCU Horned Frogs. She played in all of her games, and she was the first to start 21. With a scoring average score of 6.0, she was fifth on the team. She played mainly off the bench in her senior year. Her reserve-best scores were 23.2 minutes and 8.2 per game. In average scoring, she was fourth on her squad and 25th in Mountain West Conference.

Roden was born and raised in Fiji. She moved to Melbourne when she was just one years old. She was a teenager and played in several local football clubs. She won the Oak Park best and fairest award six times. However, she moved to basketball because there weren’t any girls’ teams after age 16. From 1999 to 2003 she was a member of the Victorian School girls’ basketball basketball team. She also competed in the Australian School girls basketball team between 2000 and 2003. In 2003, she graduated from Penola Catholic College.

Roden was a junior college student who played in the Western Junior College Athletic Conference. Her final year of college, 2005-06, saw her average 15.1 points, 7.7 assist, and 2.5 steals per match. She led Odessa College into the NJCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Championship final defeating Monroe Community College. She was the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches Junior College player of the year. She was eligible for all-conference, regional, and all-state teams and was chosen to play for the Junior Australian Team in 2006.

Roden returned to football in August 2016, playing the last two games of the season with VFLW club VU Western Spurs, kicking a goal in each game.
