Hayden Ng is one of the most popular and richest Fashion Designer who was born on January 20, 1966 in Singapore. Hayden Ng, Chinese: Wu Hai Deng; pinyin as Wu Haideng; was born 20 January 1966 in Singapore) is a Singapore-based Fashion designer.

Hayden returned to beauty pageants in 2009 and dressed Miss Universe Singapore 2009 Rachel Kum, Miss Universe Singapore 2010 Tania Lim, and Miss Universe Singapore 2011 Valerie Lim. Hayden was also the designer of the Miss Universe Singapore 2011 National Costume and was one of the 30 Gorgeous Miss Universe National Costumes.

In 2015, Hayden contributed to the SAF50 Commemorative Book, “Giving Strength to Our Nation: The SAF and Its People” with an article entitled “Uniform – Fashion vs Function”. The SAF50 commemorative book, “Giving Strength To Our Nation: The SAF and Its People”, is a collection of stories that celebrate the men and women of the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), past and present, as well as those outside the military who have contributed to building a strong SAF over the years. The book was launched by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on 24 July 2015.

On 10 November 2019, Silk Road International Fashion Week presented the Fashion Design Award to Hayden Ng, the Premier Founder of the ASEAN Fashion Designers Showcase and the HAYDEN brand, for his fashion design works.

Hayden has donated his time to charity for various causes. He and Miss Universe Singapore 2009 Rachel Kum traveled to Sri Lanka in 2009 to raise funds to support the National Thalassaemia Centre Kurunegala. Hayden dressed all of the female singers in the SING SING Amazing 80’s – Xing Xing Xing Zing Xian 80’s to raise funds at the Home Nursing Foundation. Hayden presented a charity fashion show in 2012 with Courts + O’Connor & Friends. It featured pageant title holders from Thailand and Malaysia. This was to raise funds for Eden Centre for adults and Eden Children’s Centre.

Hayden, who was 16 years old, preferred sewing to learning and learned the basics of sewing. He also took up design work. After completing his ‘O’ level at Saint Patrick’s School in Singapore, Hayden began his fashion career right away. Hayden dressed Miss Singapore Universe 1987 Marion Nicole Teo while he was doing his national service. He was then selected to be in the Top Ten for that year. Hayden, a self-taught fashion designer, saw this as a turning point and opened HAYDEN Fashion Boutique at 21. Hayden displayed his designs in Australia in 1988. In 1990, Hayden represented Singapore at the Dalian Fashion Festival in China. Hayden was first introduced to the theater scene in 1992. He then became a costume designer. He was named the 1st Chief costume designer for Singapore’s National Day Parade in 2001. From 2001 to 2003, Hayden was involved in Singapore’s National Day Parade. Hayden was nominated in 2006 for the 6th Straits Times LIFE! Theatre Awards for best costumes designer. Hayden also designed the new ceremony attire for the Singapore Disabled athletes for the Far East, South Pacific Games for Disabled 2006 (FESPIC), in Kuala Lumpur.

Six models wore more than twenty designer accessories and apparels, including Shn Juay (Miss Earth 2006/Miss Universe Singapore 2011, 2nd runner up), May Hsu (Miss Singapore World 2011) and Singaporean Veteran Model, Y.Y. Low, who opened the show with elegance.

In September 2015, Hayden created the ASEAN Fashion Designers Showcase. This original showcase concept premiered in Singapore in April 2016, is a melting pot of various unique and carefully curated couture designs and ready to wear collections by established ASEAN designers.
