Brahmbhatt was born 31 July 1954 in Mahesana (Gujarat) to Vadilal Brahmbhatt and Sushila Brahmbhatt. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1975 from Gujarat University Ahmedabad and his Master of Science degree in 1977. Physics was one of his subjects.
He edited many books, including Vismi sadini Gujarati Kuva Mudra (with Chandrakant Shetty, Yogesh Joshuai, and Urmila Thaker), Best of Miskin (2013); selected ghazals of Rajesh Vyas “Miskin”, Shabda Sathe Maro Sambandh (2013), Yogesh Yogeshtha Vartao (2008); selected stories of Yogesh Chogeshi), Maru Satya (2006) (with Anilchavda) and Sahityama Dariyo with Praful Raval Patel and Rajendra Patel and Praful Raval).
In 2016, he was nominated for Urdu Sahitya Gaurav Puraskar for his book Mera Apna Aasman by Gujarat Sahitya Akademi but he refused to accept the award in protest against lack of autonomy in the Akademi. He said that it was being given by a ‘non-autonomous’ body.
Ekalta Ni Bheedman (2012) was his first anthology on ghazal. It was published in 1992. Next came Andar Diwadandi (2002, Maun Ni Mahefil (2008), Jivavano Rizaz (2010), Khud Ne Yo Kyan Malyo Chu? (2012), Jhakal Ne Tadka Nickel Vachche and Aabh Doryu to Surya Ugyo’to. His Urdu ghazals include Kandil (1998) and Sargoshi (2004). Mera Apna Asman (2011), Khamoshi Hai Ibadat (2013), Manzilo Ko Haltake Chalte Hain. His collection of poetry and free verse is Kodiyaman PETAVI Raat (2015).

Harsh Brahmbhatt (Gujarati hrss brhmbhtttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt, born 1954) is a Gujarati language writer and poet from Gujarat, India. He also contributed significantly to the Urdu Ghazal form. He has been awarded the Shayda Award and Kalapi Award, Kumar Suvarna Chandrak, Dhanji Kanji Gandhi Suvarna Chandrak, and many others.
He was awarded the Shayda Award (2010) as well as the Kalapi Award (2012), for his contributions to the development of Gujarati Ghazal. He was awarded the Dilip Mehta award (2008-2009) and Uma-Snehrashmi prize (2012-2013), for his work Maun Ni Mahefil. Ghazal Sabha, an institution based in Vadodara, also awarded him a 2009 award for Javavano Riaz. Harindra Dave Memorial Trust presented the Kumar Suvarna Chandrak (2015), Dhanji Kanji Gandhi Suvarna Chandrak 2015 and Harindra Davesmriti Paritoshik 2015 to him.
He served as an additional secretary of Gujarat government and then as an additional secretary of the Chief Minister of Gujarat. He retired in July
