He graduated from Highland Park High School where he was awarded two state golf championships. He was also a three-time All-Texas selection. Frazar was on a medical exclusion and had to play the PGA Tour to earn his 2011 PGA Tour card. He earned over $600,000. Frazar missed five consecutive cuts and took a few weeks to reassess the game. He returned with a T-14 finish at HP Byron Nelson Championship. He won his maiden PGA Tour title at FedEx St. Jude Classic two weeks later. With only two rounds left on his medical exemption, he defeated Swede Robert Karlsson in a playoff. Frazar led by one stroke entering Sunday’s final hole, but he was unable to make the second shot due to water hazards. This resulted in a sudden-death playoff. After the two playoff holes were completed, Frazar won the third hole. Karlsson missed the 12-foot par putt to extend his playoff. Frazar won his first 355-round win on tour. He had previously finished in fourth place in 13 years. Frazar was able to go from planning his retirement to a PGA Tour card for the 2013 season. He also received an invitation to the first Masters in 2012 and a 138-point jump to the FedEx Cup. Frazar moved up from 583rd place to 144th position in the Official World Golf Ranking. Frazar had already qualified for the U.S. Open, where he was T30. Frazar’s performances at the AT&T National and The Players Championship earned him an exemption to the 2011 Open Championship. He finished 69th.
Frazar sat out the 2013 season with a back injury and played the 2013–14 season on a Major Medical Extension. He made 4 cuts in 15 events, with no finish better than T58. As a PGA Tour player with a medical extension, he tried to regain his PGA Tour card through the Web.com Tour Finals, but had three finishes in the 60s and a missed cut. For the 2014–15 season, Frazar had 10 events to earn 332.25 FedEx Cup points or $548,236 to retain his PGA Tour card. Frazar made three cuts in seven events that season and entered 2015–16 with three events to earn 320 FedEx Cup points or $510,686 to retain his Tour card.
Frazer shot a 59 at a professional tournament on December 6, 2008. In the fourth round, of the qualifying school finals, Frazer scored a 59 on the Nicklaus Tournament Course in La Quinta. He won medalist honors by eight strokes and a total score of -32 with six rounds.
