Harald T. Nesvik is one of the most popular and richest Politician who was born on May 4, 1966 in Ålesund, Møre og Romsdal, Norway. Alesund was home to Odd Nesvik (1941-19) and Ragnhild Perdersen (1943-19). From 1982 to 1985, he attended Alesund senior school. From 1991 to 1993, he studied export marketing at More and Romsdal College of Fishery Technology. He also enrolled at the Military Defence College. He studied and worked as a salesman at a local electronics store as well as as a bouncer at a local security firm. Alesunds’ oldest club, SK Rollon was his former football team. He is a strong supporter of the club and Aalesunds FK, which is also home to him.

After claiming that he had nominated Tony Blair, the British Prime Minister, and George W. Bush to receive the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002, Nesvik received brief international media attention.

Harald Tom Nesvik, born 4 May 1966 in Alesund (Norway), is a Norwegian politician and member the Storting For More and Romsdal. He has been a member since 1997. He is a member the Progress Party (FrP). Perhaps his most well- known achievement outside of Norway is nominating Tony Blair for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002. From 2018 to 2020, he was Minister of Fisheries.

Nesvik was an early member of Progress Party. He became politically active in 1986 after completing high school. Since 1987, Nesvik has been a member of Alesund’s municipal council. He quickly rose to the position of chairman of Progress Party’s Youth in Alesund. In 1999, he was elected chairman of Alesund FrP. Nesvik was elected to the More og Romsdal 10th seat, which he won, before the 1997 parliamentary elections. Since then, he has been reelected to Storting three more times and served four terms.

As the party joined the Conservative/Progress coalition government following the 2013 parliamentary election, Siv Jensen was appointed Minister of Finance. Nesvik was then elected the party’s parliamentary leader.
