Grobner was made a permanent staff member at the Faculty of Mathematics of University of Vienna in August 2016. He has been the leader of the international research program “Special L’vaues, p-adic and L-functions”, and since 2018, the additional research project “Automorphic Models and L-values to global algebras”, both funded through the Austrian Science Fund.
