Hao Haitao, Chinese: Hao Hai Tao, was born December 3, 1968. He is a former Chinese football player and coach. He is currently the head coach for Guizhou Hengfeng. He was previously a player for Tianjin Teda, Shanghai Pudong, and Qingdao Hainiu. He would then move into assistant coaching before becoming the Chengdu Blades F.C. head coach and Tianjin Songjiang’s Head Coach. Hao Haidong, an ex-China national player, is his cousin.
For a time, Hao was an assistant manager in Shanghai. As the assistant manager to Patrick de Wilde in Tianjin Songjiang, Hao replaced the Belgian during June 2011.
Hao returned to Tianjin in 2016 to manage the Tianjin Quanjian youth team.
Hao joined Chongqing Lifan by the end of 2017 season as assistant manager. As Paulo Bento was sacked on 23 July 2018, he took the position as the caretaker, but resigned after 3 losses.
In 1998, Hao was loaned to Tianjin Teda, a second-tier club. Hao was loaned out to Tianjin Teda for the 1998 league season. He went on the win the division title with the club. The following season, Hao would return home to Shanghai Pudong where he would play for them for two more seasons before he retired.

As youngsters, Hao Haitao was first scouted and signed by Bayi FC, the military’s top football team. However, he missed out on the opportunity as he had to play for Qingdao. Instead, Hao Haidong was signed. Later, he joined the Nanjing Army football team. The Chinese FA required Hao Haitao to be professional by 1994. He joined Qingdao Hainiu, a second-tier club. There, he witnessed the club win the division title. Qingdao’s next season was a struggle in the top division. Hao would join the team that finished eleventh at season’s end and in the relegation zone.
Qingdao would win promotion again the next season. However, Hao was transferred to Shanghai Pudong, a second-tier football club at the start of 1997 league season. In 1997, the team was relegated.
In 2013, he moved to Chengdu Blades as the head coach. His position was soon replaced in April due to reported conflicts with players.
