In 2015, the National Students Union of India (NSUI), demanded that police be punished for their “excessive violence”. This agitation took place a day after Beniwal was attacked by police officers had been arrested by the police. When the police arrested them, students were organizing a peaceful demonstration. Numerous NSUI students sustained injuries. The NSUI office was burgled. Around 500 students protesting the attack on Beniwal had gathered under the banner of ‘Kisaan Yuva Aakrosh Rally. When police attempted to stop them, the procession became violent and they were stone-pelted by students. To disperse them, the police used a lathi charge. This caused chaos and vandalism, injuring 18 policemen and 30 students.

Beniwal was suspended from the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) in 2013 after his remarks about the corruption of BJP politicians and their connections with Indian National Congress leaders. He successfully organised five Kisan Hunkar Maha Rallies (Nagaur, Barmer, Bikaner, Sikar, Jaipur) and launched a political outfit called Rashtriya Loktantrik Party with an election symbol of “Bottle” in Jaipur on 29 October 2018.

Beniwal, a Nagaur farmer leader, won his third assembly seat as a candidate for his party RLP. He was an Independent candidate in 2013 and beat his rival BJP candidate with 23,020 votes. He was a BJP candidate in 2008 and beat his opponent BSP candidate by 24,443 vote.
