She studied in the Vocal Jazz Department and played in the school’s Latin Ensemble, Big Band Orchestra, and Vocal Jazz Department.

She was then recruited in December 2012. Ida Nielsen, bassist for The NPG, had been performing since October 2010 and was the only member of The NPG to have played for Prince.
