Han Groo was born on March 16, 1988 in Namyangju Province, Gyeonggi Province. Her family moved to America when she was fourth grade. She attended Acacia Elementary School in California and Ladera Vista Junior High School. Han Groo was a star in her academic studies, and she was awarded the U.S. President’s Education Award for 2003. In addition to her extensive dance background, she won prizes in numerous competitions for jazz dance, hip hop, and tap dancing.
