Guy Lindsay McKenna, born 11 May 1969, is an Australian rules football player who was also the former senior coach at the Gold Coast Football Club of the Australian Football League (AFL). McKenna was a West Coast Eagles player who played 267 games, including the 1992-94 premiership wins. Between 1999 and 2000 AFL seasons, he was the club’s captain.
McKenna has two remarkable on-field achievements from his career. He was the first to be ordered from the ground by the blood rule in Round 20 1994. In Round 22, 1999, McKenna was the third captain to be called for a head count in league history. The teams were even.
In 2009, McKenna was appointed the inaugural coach of the newly founded Gold Coast Suns. He oversaw their TAC Cup and VFL campaigns prior to their entrance in the AFL. After the Suns failed to make the finals in their first four years in the senior competition, McKenna was sacked as coach on 1 October 2014.
On 9 November 2015, McKenna was appointed as line coach at Essendon.
He was awarded the Club Champion Award twice in 1989 and 1999. In 1999, he finished in the top three again five times.

McKenna, who was educated at Carine Senior High School, and originally from Carine Junior Football Club in Carine, was zoned to Claremont by the West Australian Football League (WAFL). He played 49 games in four seasons, including the 1987 premiership for the Tigers.
McKenna was drafted by the West Coast Eagles in 1988 as a pre-draft selection. From 1988 to 2000, McKenna played for the Eagles and scored 28 goals. Along with John Worsfold and Glen Jakovich, he was feared by the AFL’s backline. He was also known for his cool demeanour, reliability, and dedication.
He was captain from 1998 until his retirement at the end of 2000. He kicked a memorable goal on the final kick of his career in Round 22 2000 which frenzied the crowd at Subiaco Oval.
