In 2014, election, he was elected to the Warmian-Masurian regional committee in the 5th term. On December 12 , he was appointed marshal of the new provincial board to replace Jacek Protas. He was appointed to this post. In 2018, he was able to keep the authority from the province council until a second period. On December 4, 2018 He was appointed the Voivodship Marshal for the second time.
He was a member of in the Polish People’s Party. In October of 2016, he was the head of regional structure of the party.

In 1998, he was appointed the an administrator for the commune of Ostroda. He remained in his post until the first election held directly in 2002, receiving 4004 votes (81.85 percent). He was elected again in 2006 and again in 2010 he received 2698 votes (53.01 percent) as well as 3632 voters (60.61 percent) respectively. He was dismissed from his post in 2012 due to his election to the deputy, Warmian-Masurian Vovodship.
He graduated from the Agricultural and Technical Academy in Olsztyn and is now part of Olsztyn, which is now the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn. He pursued postgraduate studies in the fields of crop production in the Warsaw University of Life Sciences located in Warsaw and also in administration and management at the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn. He received the academic doctorate degree in agricultural sciences based on his dissertation entitled ‘Role of undersown crops in reducing effect of simplifying the rotation of crops by using spring barley’. In 1984, he began working as a teacher in vocational courses in Ostroda’s Agricultural School Complex in Ostroda. In 1999, he was elected the president of the Association of Municipalities of the Ostroda-Ilawski region “Czyste Srodowisko”.
