Gus Monsanto is the stage name for Gustavo Monsanto (born 5. December 1974, in Petropolis, Rio de Janeiro state, Brazil) is the former leader from Adagio, the French progressive metal group Adagio and also the lead singer of the Finnish group Revolution Renaissance formed by Timo Tolkki following his departure from Stratovarius. The brother of the reporter Eduardo Monsanto of ESPN Brazil.

The year 2005 is devoted to the stage and studio. Monsanto performed his first season of 40 shows during the summertime with the French group Cocktail de Nuit (with whom they tour with throughout France each summer since with a total of almost 300 performances). After an intense pre-production, they wrote “Dominate”, their first album with Adagio album, which came out on December 5, 2005. Also, 2005 included a second appearance in the Monsanto groupa Monkey Bite, with whom the band performed at New York and New Jersey.
