In August of 2019, Kriesel filed a lawsuit against his Offspring bandmates Holland and Noodles after an alleged decision taken by the two bandmates in November 2018 to dismiss Kriesel off the Offspring and disqualify Kriesel from all activities associated with the band like recording studios or live performance. Kriesel and his legal team claimed that they conspired in order to “seize the business, business opportunities, and assets” of Kriesel’s stake in band , without payment. Due to Kriesel’s absence from the tour the band, he’s been filled into the band by Tony Kanal of No Doubt and Todd Morse of H2O.
