Alonzo Mathis (born on January 27, 1982) more popularly known as the nickname Gorilla Zoe (/’z OU (/’ z oU/ ) is an American rapper, best well-known for being a part of the band Boyz N Da Hood. The debut album of Gorilla Zoe was his own. Welcome to the Zoo came out in 2007. The next two albums Don’t Feed Da Animals as well as King Kong, were released in the years 2009 and 2011. Then, in 2015, he dropped two mixtapes: Recovery and Raised in the Jungle. He has been an artist on his own since the year 2018.

In February of this year, Gorilla Zoe released a daily mixtape via the site mixtape DatPiff.com. Gorilla Zoe released an EP called I Am Atlanta 3. He also collaborated on an album with Die-Verse City’s member Qu1k.

On May 6, 2014, after a two-year hiatus Gorilla Zoe released a new mixtape, Recovery, it was also revealed that Gorilla Zoe had signed to rapper Flo Rida’s label International Music Group.

The song from the album, “What’s Goin’ On”, was released on December 14, 2010, and peaked at #99 at the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart.
