As a response to the criticism, Giampietro released his application to the Wisconsin federal nominating commission which outlines the specific questions were asked of him by the federal nominating commission, as well as the answers were provided by him. Giampietro’s supporters, which includes the Catholic League have stated that they believe that the criticisms he has received about his remarks have something to do with have something to do with his Catholic convictions.
