The Most Reverend Gordon Alfred Bradbery AM (born 8 May 1951) is the Lord Mayor of Wollongong and is a minister in the Uniting Church, though not serving in the ministry since. Bradbery was elected to a three-year term in the role of Lord Mayor September 9th, 2017.

After a session at members of the Presbytery of Illawarra, a part of the Uniting Church, the decision was taken not to extend the term of Bradbery as the leader of the Wollongong Mission past 2011 and the chairman, David Jones citing “need to undertake succession planning for Ministry Leadership given the length of time Gordon has been in this placement”. There was an outcry among certain segments within the Wollongong community in the wake of this decision. This was largely because of Bradbery’s long-running community service. Bradbery is still in the church’s list of ordained ministers , but in the context of the terms of the church it is not an active service.

In the year 1996, Bradbery was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia, “in recognition of service to the community, particularly for his role during the 1994 Sydney bushfires and the subsequent relief efforts for those affected”.
