Born in Pompei located in located in the Province of Naples, Campania, he was a member of Emilia club Parma at the youth level. He played for Parma Allievi U17 team in 1997 Torneo Citta di Arco. He quit for Prato together with Gabriele Giaroli under a co-ownership agreement for a sum worth 70 million lire (EUR36,152) in the summer of 2000. He played 33 of the possible 34 games during the 2000-01 Serie C2. In June 2001, the joint ownership was renewed for Serrapica was renewed, and Giaroli was purchased back for an unknown amount. Prato also received Davide Stirpe (35 million lire (EUR18,076) in the new co- ownership contract. The following season, Prato only played in 24 games and was suspended only once due to his fourth caution. He was warned five times in the entire season. The team received promotion to Italian third division in May 2002. Serrapica was co-owned by Serrapica was renewed in June 2002. In June 2002, the team purchased back Stirpe for an undisclosed sum. But, he was transferred by Empoli by Parma for an undisclosed amount in connection with the deal to sign Mark Bresciano (100%) and Marco Marchionni (residual 50%). For the 2002-03 season, Serie C1 Serrapica was cautioned six times and suspended one time (round 16.). In June 2003, Empoli released the remaining 50% rights to registration to Prato. Serrapica played in 11 games of 2003-04 Serie C1 before left on loan to AlbinoLeffe of Serie B. Serrapica first made his Serie B debut on 8 February 2004, in a match that ended in a 0-0 draw against Ternana Calcio. In June 2004, the Lombard club failed to sign Serrapica, and he was sent back to Tuscany to join Prato. Serrapica played a part-time season with Prato in the 2004-05 Serie C1 and signed by Emilia club Sassuolo in January 2005. He then joined Giaroli. Serrapica was suspended for one game while at Sassuolo during round 22. Serrapica resigned from the club in the summer of 2005.
In summer 2005 , he received a contract from Pro Vercelli, however he was absent for three games because of suspension (round 12 21 (rescheduled until 15 February) 24 (rescheduled until March 4)). The following two seasons, he was a player in the clubs of Paganese and Pizzighettone and Pizzighettone, both as a regular players. He was suspended for the opening game in 2006-07 Coppa Italia Lega Pro as well as two times in the 2007/08 Serie C2. In the summer of 2008, he returned to his home province to play for Serie D club Neapolis (of Group I). In November 2008, he was hired by a different Campania club Nocerina in Serie D Group H. The team finished as the second in the group and was in the playoffs for promotion. Nocerina ultimately won promotion back to the fully professional leagues in Italy, Lega Pro Seconda Divisione (ex- Serie C2) — the fourth division. In the 2009-10 Lega Pro Seconda Divisione season although Serrapica was with the team but only played 15 times. He was suspended one time in the cup, and once in the league. The team was able to escape from the relegation zone with only one point. However, they received an invitation to the 2010-11 Lega Pro Prima Divisione to take on the vacant spots left due to bankrupted teams. The team was then released by Serrapica.
In 2016, Serrapica signed for Eccellenza Campania team F.C. Sorrento, after they were refounded following their bankruptcy and temporary expulsion from Italian league football.
