In his time at TSN, Reda has hosted various international events like the World Cup of Soccer, the World Cup of Rugby, numerous Olympic Games including Vancouver 2010 as well as being hosts of the Gemini award winning team who was a part of the coverage of for the World Jr Hockey Championship in Halifax in 2003.
In 2018, Reda was inducted into the Etobicoke Sports Hall of Fame, honouring his extensive sports media career.
In high school (KCI) and was 16 years old, Reda began volunteering for an local cable company (MacLean Hunter) performing play-by-plays for different sports, including high school volleyball, basketball, soccer, wrestling and hockey. When he was 19 years old, Reda and co-host Frank Gianonni hosted a live, weekly show known as “CitySports”. In the two seasons of the show it won an award from the North American Cable award for “Best Live Sports Programing.” Reda was an independent announcer of play-by-play on behalf of Humber College Hawks, the Humber College Hawks, Junior B Hockey and Junior A box lacrosse as well as The Canadian National Soccer League and the Canadian National Gymnastics Championships between 1983 between 1983 and 1987. In May of 1986, Reda accepted a volunteer assignment as the field reporter for Toronto Blue Jays. Toronto Blue Jays in the Sportsline at Global Television in Toronto. In September of 1986, Reda was hired by then Sportsline host Jim Tatti to a full-time post at Global.

Reda came to Canada along with family members in the year 1964. He resided in Toronto until the age of twelve, and Then he relocated to Etobicoke where he was able to graduate at Kipling Collegiate Institute in 1979. While at high school the team was a varsity player in football and wrestling. He’s a graduate of his school, the Ontario Bible College (now Tyndale University).
Reda has been a strong supporter of World Vision Canada and Special Olympics Canada for more than 15 years. In 2005, he was awarded the National Volunteer of the Year award by Special Olympics Canada. In 2013, he was honoured with the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for his work with World Vision Canada
