He was a commentator in 2002. was a commentator on different World Cup matches of the Korean and Japanese teams for RAI and in 2007, He was a soccer analyst in Mediaset Premium.

In the 2003–04 season he replaced Franco Colomba as coach of the Serie A Reggina team and led them to safety.
The end of October 2000, he was replaced by Gigi Simoni, who was taken off the bench and led the team to take the first spot on the team’s roster in Serie A . As part of the Granata team, he was the first player to debut Serie A by winning the Intertoto qualifying.

As a midfielder, Camolese started his professional career with the Unione Sportiva San Mauro and later made his debut in the first team at Torino at the age of 1974. He was a player in the teams of Biellese, Reggina, Alessandria, Lazio, Padova, Vicenza, Taranto and for Saviglianese at the close the course of his professional career. He played 300 games during Serie C, which is currently the Lega Pro and 141 games within Serie B for Lazio, Padova and Taranto and Taranto, but he did not make his debut in Serie A, having only been a player with Torino at the Coppa Italia.
