Porgni was signed by Besa at the beginning of January in 2008 and quickly became an integral part of the team’s first team. He made 16 league appearances, scoring one goal. This helped to finish the season third, just behind his former team Partizani. Porgni has also netted a goal during the Albanian Cup with Besa, which saw the club reach the quarterfinals. The following season, Porgni was still in Kavaje and played the European debut at the Intertoto Cup against Cypriot club Ethnikos Achna. He was in the starting line-up for both games, helping Besa to an aggregate victory of 1-1 on the score of an offside goal. In the next round , his team faced Swiss club Grasshopper Club Zurich, who defeated Besa 5-1, a tally of 5-1, with Progni playing all 90 minutes in both matches. In the domestic league, Besa did not have an outstanding season, finishing seventh on the table, only two places higher than the play-off spot for relegation. Progni was able to have an impressive individual campaign with 4 league goals in the 28 games. He also scored three goals in the cup matches.
Progni signed for newly promoted side FK Kukësi in the summer of 2012, who under the guidance of the club president Safet Gjici had an ambitious project to be one of the best clubs in the country.
Progni started the domestic season on 10 September by playing full-90 minutes in the opening championship match versus Laçi, ended in a 0–2 loss. Progni was given a new role under Italian manager Mark Iuliano, playing as a right-back in the 4–3–3 lineup. Progni’s first score-sheet contributions came later on 20 November by netting the second of the 2–1 win at Kukësi. The first win after three defeats in a row.
Progni quit Besa Kavaje at the end of the 2008-09 campaign and moved to Dinamo Tirana in the summer transfer window. While at Dinamo Progni had a tough in attempting to get into the first team because the team had numerous talents midfielders which included Emiljano Vila as well as Elis Bakaj. As a result, Progni’s chances were slim. He left Dinamo in January and played just five league appearances in the short period he was at Dinamo and all of them were substitutes. The only goal he scored for Dinamo came at the Albanian Cup against Adriatiku.
