Gerald Santos is one of the most popular and richest Singer who was born on May 15, 1991 in Navotas, Philippines. He was born Gerald Padua Santos on May 15th the 15th of May, 1991 at Navotas City, Metro Manila. Born into a typical family in Navotas and is the second child of 5 siblings. parents were both employed in Navotas Fish Port and were making just enough money to support the entire family. Singing was a major element of his family, and his passion for music was supported from his family. He began singing when he was seven years old. He began singing in his primary high school ( Daanghari Elementary School ) in Navotas. Later, he joined competitions for amateur singers ( approximately 50 contests for amateur singers ) and won numerous instances( in Metro Manila and nearby provinces such as Laguna as well as Bulacan ). He was at Tangos National High School in Navotas when he made the decision to try out to be a Pinoy Pop Superstar of GMA-7 at the age of 15.

On television, Gerald was part of the long-running SOP. Gerald was also a part-time actor in Party Pilipinas. He was a part of GMA’s primetime television show “I LUV NEW YORK” in 2006 in which he played the brother of its main actress, Jolina Magdangal. He also appeared on GMA’s top-rated programs such as “MAGPAKAILANMAN”, “SIS” as well as other.

After winning the PPS, Gerald signed a five-year contract with GMA, including a record deal with GMA Records, and became a regular on the TV series SOP Rules. He was cast for the primetime TV series I Luv New York, and was a co- host of QTV’s Popstar Kids in 2006. His SOP role earned him a nomination for a PMPC STAR Awards For TV.Template:He was nominated in the 20th Star Awards for Television in 2006 as Best New Male TV Personality. His first single, “A Day on the Rainbow”, was released in November 2006. In 2008 he released his second studio album, Gerald Santos: Pinakahihintay.

In 2006 Gerald Santos became the grand champion of the second season of GMA 7’s show Pinoy Pop Superstar. He was the youngest champion of the biggest reality singing contest then hosted by Ms. Regine Velasquez. He sang “kahit isang saglit” “Hanggang” and “Close to where you are” as his winning songs in the Final night of PPS Season 2. He is not the typical “biritero” but he is noted for his heartfelt singing and can melt everyone’s heart with his simple singing.
