George Kapiniaris is one of the most popular and richest Stage Actor who was born on February 27, 1961 in Australia. Kapiniaris was a part of the show on stage Wogs Out of Work with Nick Giannopoulos, in the 1980s. The year 2007 saw him formed a group alongside fellow comics Joe Avati, Nish Selvadurai and Simon Palomares for a national tour Il Dago. In the latter part of 2012, he performed on his own Australian production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
He was seen in the role of Ricardo in the film Broken Hill, an inmate who was a guitarist in a band from jail.
He plays Uncle Taso in the hit Australian stage play which has turned into a big screen sensation, written by Alex Lykos, Alex & Eve 2015.
In 2007 Kapiniaris appeared on the television comedy show Kick in 2007 on SBS in the role of Takis Mavros. He also appeared on the same year’s soap opera on television Neighbours as an appearance as the celebrity chef. Kapiniaris was a part of the controversial mini-series Underbelly in which he was the real-life character named George Defteros. As of 1987, Kapiniaris became part of the actor cast for the series The Flying Doctors for the character Demetris “D.J.” Goannidis. He was in the part until 1991. In that period, he also appeared in the sitcom that was based in Melbourne called Acropolis Now with Giannopoulos, Simon Palomares and Mary Coustas. After the show’s cancellation, the comedian has continued his stand- up show and has performed a number of performances on stage and has also hosted events like weddings. One of his hits are the parody of Knockin’ at Heaven’s Door, called “Gnocchi on Heaven’s Door”.
