The 1987 graduate graduated from Canadian Academy, an international school located in Kobe In 1991, a student at Berklee College of Music, Zilkha returned in Japan for a singing career. She survived the Great Hanshin earthquake of 1995. In 1996 until 1999, she was DJ for the TV program JAL Tokyo Balcony. She also was the guest vocalist on numerous dance-pop songs (usually known as Geila) which included My Summer Love, featured in the game Dance Dance Revolution. She is still a resident of Tokyo and is an Jazz Vocal Instructor at Senzoku Music College in Yokohama She has also released two albums by herself “all Me” in 2010 and “appearance” in 2011.
She founded an acoustic group that resembled gospel in Tokyo known as”the Geila&Voissalot Choir. The group performed at Apollo Theater in NewYork as an invited performer for Halem Hallelujah in March 2009. Voissalot is still an unsupervised group. They have three albums out. “Crystal Aspiration” “With Your Life” and “Rose”.
