Gary Wiggins is one of the most popular and richest Saxophonist who was born on November 10, 1952 in Inkster, Michigan, United States. When he was an infant, his family moved to the west of Detroit in the area of Oregon Street, where he was educated. His mother’s death, Ruth Russell Wiggins (1920-1999) raised her son in the church where he started to play on the saxophone along with Brother Lawhorn in 1962. He was a student at Northwestern High School until 1970 and was a member of an ensemble of jazz musicians while attending the community college.
Wiggins was awarded Wiggins the Berlin Jazz & Blues Award in 2002, and also in 2002, the German Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik 1994 for Acoustic Soul, as well as the Gong Show in 1977 with Rick Murphy and David Winans as The Show Bizz Kids.
Since his move from Europe in 1983, as well as putting on several music performances in Jazz Clubs and Festivals, He has performed on tours along with Charlie Musselwhite, Arnett Cobb, Screaming Jay Hawkins Jimmy Rogers, Johnny Copeland, Big Jay McNeely (Saxomania Tour, Europe), Katie Webster, Scott Hamilton, Louisiana Red and Carey Bell.

In 1982 the year 1982, he spent time within his time in the Chicago blues scene, where he was as a member of the band of Late Lefty Dizz, Sunnyland Slim, Johnny Littlejohn and Sugar Blue. The band released three singles.
