Gagik Beglaryan (Armenian: Gagik Beglaryan ) (born January 1st 1964) is an Armenian politician, politician, and former Mayor of Yerevan. He was minister of Transport and Communications of Armenia between 2012 and the year 2016.
In June of 2012 the minister was named as Minister of Transport and Communications.
On December 8, 2010, the mayor resigned after he assaulted a government official following an incident during the Placido Domingo show. The official involved – Aram Kandayan, a staffer of the president’s protocol department had asked the wife of the mayor to surrender her seat. She was seated right next to President Serzh Sargsyan in a chair usually used by the prime minister or Catholicos or the Catholicos of All Armenians. Though she was not in attendance at the performance, Beglaryan arranged to meet Kandayan after the concert and attacked Kandayan before he was able to leave his car.

Beglaryan is an economist of education, having attended Yerevan State University. Yerevan State University, School of Physics and Mathematics (1978-1981) as well as the Yerevan Institute of National Economy (1981-1985). He was a student in 2004 and presented his dissertation “The main social problems of community management”.
On March 4, 2009, he was named interim mayor for Yerevan in the midst of the municipal elections scheduled for May 31, 2009. He was elected mayor on June 8, after his party called that is the Republican Party of Armenia, was elected.
