The month of October was the year that Martusciello quit as Presidency of the Campania region, transferring his duties upon Stefano Caldoro. In the year following, Forza Italy was reborn, and Martusciello returned to the fold with ambitions of a post in a higher position.

In May 2014 Martusciello ran for a seat at the European Parliament. He ran as a representative of the Southern District of Italy where his native town of Naples is, as well as the constituency he was once President of, Campania 1. Martusciello was elected with 89,501 preferences and joined the European People’s Party. In October of the same year the new MEP was elected chairman for relations with Israel. Fulvio Martusciello has studied law in his school, the University of Naples Federico II. In 1993, he obtained the legal license and the following year the lawyer began to specialize in the field of civil law. He is a member of the European Parliament since 2014. The European Parliament is where he serves as chair of the delegation that deals with relationships with Israel and an active part of the Conference of Delegation Presidencies, the Committee on Budgetary Control, the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs and the Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean.

At a very younger age Martusciello became a part of the newly created political party Forza Italia in 1994. Martusciello was then appointed the position of provincial coordinator for Benevento and held that position until 2004. While he was the provincial coordinator, Martusciello was also appointed to the post of Regional Director for Campania in 1995. Campania includes cities like Naples. He was a nominated candidate from the center-right. Following the election by Antonio Rastrelli, Martusciello entered the regional council and was elected the head of Forza Italy until 1999 elections. In 2005, Martusciello was able to get over 35,000 votes and set an all-time record for votes received in the elections of Regional Councils of Italy. In 2010, he got elected for the 4th time to the Regional Council. However, by this time Forza Italy had begun a suspension that began in 2009 (and running through 2013). Martusciello’s fourth appointment to the regional level was to the newly- formed People of Freedom party, and was elected president by a majority vote. In February 2016 , Silvio Berlusconi was appointed Martusciello as National Coordinator for the Defenders of Voices.

Martusciello has held office in a number of committees during his impressive 15 plus years as Regional Director of Campania. During his first term Martusciello was President of the regional school of Municipal Police. During this period Martusciello also functioned as a Vice President to the Regional Commission of Tourism, as well as to Agriculture and Manufacturing Sectors. After 2000 Martusciello was elected President of the Commission to Regional Council of Campania, and in 2005 he was elected quaestor. Starting on 20 October 2012 Martusciello acted as an Advisor to the President of the Campania Region, with the express responsibility of handling economic and developmental matters. His position as an advisor to economics and development would set the stage for his future positions in the European Parliament
