Frederika Marie Joseph (Frieda) Brepoels (Dutch: [‘fri:da’: ‘bre:puls] ; born on May 7, 1955 at Mopertingen) is a Belgian politician from N-VA as well as the Mayor of Bilzen and a former member of the European Parliament for Flanders.
She was elected to the European Parliament in 2004 as an alternative to Geert Bourgeois, who could not fill his place. As a member of the European Parliament, she sat on the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety and served as an alternate in members of the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs, and a member of Delegation of the European Union-Armenia EU Azerbaijan and the EU-Georgia Parliamentary Cooperation Committees and a replacement for the Delegation for relations with nations belonging to the Andean Community.
She was candidate for the Chamber of Representatives in the 2014 elections, but was not elected.

Brepoels began her political career with the People’s Union (Volksunie, VU). She was 27, and became a the municipal representative in Bilzen at the age of 22 in 1982. From 1985 to 1987, she was the provincial councillor for Limburg.
From 1987 until 2003 , she was a member in The Chamber of Representatives, except from 1991 to 1999, during which she was deputy to the executive provincial of Limburg.
Since 1 January 2013, following the October 2012 local elections, she is mayor of Bilzen. Mark Demesmaeker succeeded her in the European Parliament.
