Frank Rennicke (born 18 December 1964 in Braunschweig) is a German musician and ballad-singer who hails from Braunschweig within Lower Saxony. He is among the main figures of the extreme right-wing scene in Germany and is described as an “national bard”.

He was selected as a presidential candidate presidency of Germany by right- wing party DVU and NPD but was not able to secure their vote (4 out of 1224) and was not considered to be a serious contender in media outlets in the German media. In the elections of 2010 scheduled for June 30, 2010, which were called due to the resignation of the president Horst Kohler Rennicke had been nominated again but this time from the NPD. Rennicke received three votes in the first two rounds and resigned from the vote at the end of the third round.

In November 2000 in November 2000, the Boblingen magistrates court was able to sentence Rennicke to 10 years’ prison to be a sedition victim of common people (Volksverhetzung) and for which he was given parole. A Stuttgart state court ruled against the court’s decision and on the 15th of October 2002 the court handed down Rennicke to 17 years’ prison for eight charges of Volksverhetzung and for violating the law prohibiting the distribution of written works that could be dangerous to children. Rennicke was again given parole.
