Frank Brandon Gaines (born July 7 in 1990) is an American professional basketball player who plays for Virtus Bologna, a team of the Italian Lega Basket Series A (LBA). He played in the NCAA basketball tournament at Indiana University – Purdue University Fort Wayne.

Gaines was not selected during his 2013 NBA draft. On the 1st of November 2013, Gaines was picked from the Maine Red Claws with the 1st choice of the 2nd round of the 2013 NBA Development League Draft. On April 22nd in 2014, he received the honor of being awarded the 2013 NBA Development League Most Improved Player.

On April 7, 2014, he signed with Gigantes de Guayana of Venezuela for the rest of the 2014 LPB season. He left Gigantes later that month after just five games.

In July 2015, Gaines joined the Oklahoma City Thunder for the 2015 NBA Summer League. On August 17, 2015, he signed with Wilki Morskie Szczecin of Poland for the 2015–16 season.

In his junior year the team was named on the All-Summit League first team and the NABC All-District second team. He made at least one three-point shot in all of his games throughout the season and a season-high five in a home game against Oral Roberts on February 15 in 2012. In his 30 games in all, he scored 21.2 scores, 5.9 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.4 steals in 32.1 minutes per game.
