Frank Anderson (born February 14 1959) is an American college baseball coach as well as an outfielder. As pitching coach, he is at the University of Tennessee. Anderson played in college baseball playing at Mid-Plains Junior College from 1979 to 1980 , as well as the University of Nebraska at Kearney from 1981 until 1982. Anderson was the Head Coach for Oklahoma State University from 2004 to 2013.

In Oklahoma State, Anderson’s team took home his team the 2003 Big 12 Conference Baseball Tournament. In 2005, the team was 34-25, which included an upset win over the highest of the list Texas Longhorns. For 2006, OSU scored 41-20. They also secured a top place for the NCAA tournament. OSU earned an overall ranking of 12th. In his final four seasons, his overall record was with a score of 130-100 (44-58 within the Big 12). When his team was unable to be able to participate in the NCAA tournament, Anderson was fired on May 29 2012. The following month, Anderson became the pitcher coach of the Houston Cougars. On the 14th of June in 2017 the announcement was made that Anderson would be the pitching coach of the Tennessee Volunteers.

Prior to becoming the head coach of the Cowboys, Anderson was an assistant coach with the Texas Longhorns from 2000 to 2003 and a pitching coach for the Texas Tech Red Raiders from 1990 until 1999.

The native of Grant, Nebraska, Anderson completed his studies at Emporia State University at Emporia, Kansas in 1983 and received his master’s diploma from the university in 1985. Prior to enrolling at ESU, Anderson was a junior college All-American at Mid-Plains College in North Platte, Nebraska, and then an All-District and All-Area outfielder at the University of Nebraska at Kearney.

After completing his bachelor’s degree from the field of physical education Anderson was able to begin his coach career with Emporia State while working on his master’s degree in science with a focus on exercise physiological science. Anderson helped the Hornets get to in 1984 to the NAIA World Series and then took on the role of assistant coach in Howard College in Big Spring, Texas, in 1987. Through his three seasons at Howard the Hawks did not only rank as among the best 20 junior college in the nation and included 26 of Anderson’s players recruited for major league club.
